The Problem I Kept Running Into

As an MBA student with a computer science background, I thought I had the perfect toolkit to build products people actually wanted. I could talk to computers. I understood business concepts. What could go wrong?

Turns out, a lot.

Great ideas usually start with finding the right problem, and that's where I kept getting stuck.

Everyone talks about "customer pain points" and "finding your niche," so I spent hours scrolling through social media and talking with industry professionals, trying to understand what problems people were actually struggling with. A few ideas surfaced, but I never felt confident that I was the right person to solve them.

I decided to experiment with the AI approach. Chatbots seemed promising at first, but unless the prompt was just right, they tended to go in circles.

Out of frustration, I vibe coded a tool to automate the research and surface problems that fit who I am as a person. I realized in solving my own problem, the tool may help other aspiring founders stuck in the same place.

StarterPlug was born with a mission of helping entrepreneurs find their problem–founder fit to spark ideas they can turn into real businesses.
